The Necessary Stage’s critically acclaimed play, Off Centre, returns 26 years after its premiere in 1993. Written by Haresh Sharma and directed by Alvin Tan, Off Centre is a landmark play in the history of Singapore theatre, best remembered for presenting an honest and unflinching look at mental illness and the stigma surrounding it.
Off Centre follows the unlikely friendship between Saloma and Vinod, and traces their journeys as they deal with their personal conflicts as well as social prejudices against mental health conditions.

Shook is a contemporary theatrical performance created by NUS Stage, looking at the hopes, challenges and dreams of our times. With the use of original text, movement, video and sound, the ensemble presents a polyphonic spectacle with a party of lovable and problematic characters, memes and moments for you to love and hate.
In a time of digital domination, gender upheaval, cancel culture, and environmental doom, this show aims to make the audience take a moment to be shook and be heard.

The Vault: S.O.S

S.O.S. is a devised performance responding to The Lady of Soul and Her Ultimate ‘S’ Machine.
In the inexplicable future, a series of man-made disasters have made Singapore dangerously radioactive. An unlikely crew of volunteers gather in a vault to document and archive the Soul of Singapore using artificial intelligence, so that Singapore can be restored when she is habitable again. They only have 10 days to complete this ambitious project before their supplies run out. But their progress is hindered by conflict and chaos. Can they capture the Soul of Singapore?
